Construction of hydrogen station No. 3 in the Gas Shop
The initiative targeted reduction in the volume of purchased electrical energy. This was achieved by construction of a new hydrogen plant using natural gas reforming technology instead of electrolysis. The investment totalled 600 million rubles, and energy savings amounted to 190 million kWh. The project was implemented in 2004 and paid back in 3.3 years.
The project allowed to reduce specific energy cost for hydrogen production by 3.9 times.
